TEC Leadership

Christina Eichelkraut, CEO

Christina is a communications professional who believes in the power of organizing people on a hyper-local level. She has been an advocate for neighborhood infrastructure improvements, endorsed proper funding for education and supports accessible neighborhoods. A former print journalist, Christina founded a digital communications company in 2011 that specializes in translating complex policy and technical ideas into clear, accessible language. A word nerd and political junkie, Christina believes when policy is well considered and properly implemented it can lead to a more equitable, just and innovative world.

Connor Johnson, CTO

As the Chief Technology Officer and a Board Member of Technology Education Collaborative (TEC), Connor aims to inform people about technology and help students break into the I.T. industry. Currently he works as a senior web development and is the proud owner of Design Hewer LLC. He has worked alongside various companies and universities to expand their audience, improve their code quality, and improve their overall online presence.

Laura Ellington, Board Member

Upon receiving my Bachelor of Science, Laura became a Member of Technical Staff I (progressing to Member of Technical Staff II, Lead Engineer, Staff Engineer) in a research and development telecommunications engineering corporation.

Other titles she’s held are Technology Education Manager, Senior Trainer, Systems Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Manager, Corporate Leader Fellow, Documentation Manager, Software Test Engineer, Programmer Analyst II, Access Analyst, and Telecommunications Engineer.

Wyatt Johnson, Board Member

Wyatt Johnson is the CNT/CIS Program Director at Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ and teaches mainly Networking and Cybersecurity classes. He has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from ASU, a decent sized stack of certifications and years of IT experience. He firmly believes that Star Wars > Star Trek and that Tom Baker was the best Doctor. One of his most disappointing moments was finding out that there was no way to make watching Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail a prerequisite for any class.

Andrew Karnes, Board Member

Andrew has enjoyed being a part of creating the Gateway Advanced Cyber Security Lab, a space where students and experienced technologists come together the explore the expanding boundaries of emerging technology and their own growing skills. As a board member of TEC, Andrew hopes to help others gain a more robust understanding of the powers and perils of technology while working on his personal quest to develop less buggy code. In his free time, Andrew is printing an ever-expanding gridfinity system for his impressive home maker space. That will keep him busy for at least a little while.
