December Goodies from TEC

HTTPS: The TEC Talks Holiday Special | Cool tech books, articles and podcasts | No December events but big things coming in January

It's the holidays so we're taking it easy and filling your inbox with casual, festive fodder including a VERY special episode of TEC Talks. Don't be fooled though - we're hard at work creating new events, programs, exciting TEC Trips and even better techtastic content for 2025. But for now, all of us at TEC hope whatever you do for holidays - including if you do nothing special at all - the rest of your year is filled with whatever makes happy...especially cool tech. ;-) TEC wishes you happiness, health and the kind of wealth that matters most this holiday season.

NEW TEC TALKS PODCAST EPISODES

We've got two new episodes of the TEC Talks podcast, including our very special holiday episode! It was a blast to record and we hope it's as much fun to listen to.

In addition to being fun, this episodes doubles as a great gift idea list for that special techie in your life (yes, that includes yourself).

In this casual, fun and festive episode we asked visitors to the Advanced Cyber Systems Lab what tech is on their wish list.

The rules were simple: Money was no object, it could be ANYTHING - from the military catalogue, NASA, or just Best Buy - but the device has to exist in real life and incorporate some kind of computing power

The Answers. Were. Awesome.

Special thanks to all our guests, some of whom had no idea they’d be on a podcast that day. As always, you make TEC an awesome community and the ACSL a great place to hang out, work on independent tech and creative projects, and meet some pretty incredible people.

What Does a Digital Forensics Specialist Do?

We speak with Jonathan Dellmar, a digital forensics specialist who discusses what it’s like to examine digital evidence for the legal system…and reptiles. All opinions are his own and not those of the firm he represents.
