Charles (Chuck) joined TEC as CTO (Chief Technology Officer) and a board member at the beginning of July 2024.

Charles previously worked at Intel in various roles for just under a decade, most notably as a senior software engineer and senior DevOps engineer, before transitioning to the venture capital-backed tech startup space for a few years to take on similar senior-level roles in software engineering.

Charles also has a bachelor's of science degree in Physics from Arizona State University, as well as an associate's in arts degree with honors distinction from Mesa Community College.

With an extreme passion for open source technologies like GNU/Linux, combined with a strong drive to get things done, Charles is helping to bring TEC into a position to help as many people as possible benefit the most from open source software solutions.

Additionally, Charles strongly advocates for taking technical measures to ensure digital privacy and security online.

In recent years, Charles has primarily written software via technologies like Go, Python, Node/TypeScript/JavaScript, and Ansible. Charles has been using various Linux distributions for 20 years, with Linux being a daily driver for nearly 15 years.

Charles is an advocate for open source machine learning infrastructure and availability. His most recent software project is an app called stylistic.app, which leverages open source machine learning technologies to generate professional images like the one shown in this bio.

Charles is also a full-distance Ironman triathlon finisher and loves staying healthy and active.
